Jardine RT-1

50 bucks to install a can is unheard of. I am not too mechanically inclined and I was able to put on the can and a Comp Werks eliminator kit in about 6 hours. Would I do it again? Probably not. It was a real bitch getting the original can off.
If you seriously can it it installed for 50, don't think twice, do it. In reality, you are looking at 250 minimum labor for that where I live and not every shop will do it.

Well I was told that it would be an hour of labor and that is $54.00. I will double check. Also i can't decide if to get the Jardine or Yosh. There is about an $80 difference. If they sound the same I guess it just comes down to looks. I dont' want it sticking way out though......
Well I just called them again. They said about a half an hour for the slip on, an hour at the most. So about $25 to $50 for the install. They said if I was doing a full exhaust it would be a few hours and a few hundred dollars.
Hey buddy, heres to give you an idea, this is how far the can sticks out on my bike... 03 600RR

my sis has the rt-one on her 03 with power commander and kn filter, sounds actually very nice for such a cheap pipe. Yoshi mainly makes pipes for suzukis, but i have seen and heard it on 04 RR and sounds alot like my sisters bike. I still have the OEM exhaust but probably going to go with the two brothers. I do not do tail dragger wheelies so I am not worried about it sticking back too far. I'm just savin my pennies for the two brothers. If I am going to pay that much for a slip on, I want the one that looks the sickest and has the most power gains. Two brothers makes the most HP of the slip ons and thier pipes always sound nice.
jardine is a good budget choice tho

BlindLOKI: Thanks for the pics. Doesn't look like it goes out to far. Show how is the exhaust holding up for you?? I am concerned about the longevity of the Jardine exhuast.
Also why do some many have the Yoshimura exhaust if it is designed for the Suzuki bikes?? What is designed for ours??
I like the look and price of the Jardine but I can get a Yoshimura RS-5 for only $70 more. I just don't know what to do.....

the RS5 is only for hondas. Yoshi is just primarily a supporter of suzuki bikes. They have partnerships with suzuki and lots of Team afiliations so they pay more attention to the suzuki riders, since most privateer racers run suzukis as well in both 600 and 1000 as well as unlimited class because they are cheaper to build and romp on consistantly.
Two brothers has factory support from honda.
I just wish Graves Motorsports made a honda muffler. They have incredible fit and finish definitely suitable for a honda, but they are Yamaha partners.

I'd get the Jardine since they are made for teams racing Hondas. I have not seen a race team who ride Hondas use a Yosh. I am funny that way though. I am the same way with decals on bikes. I don't get it when a person puts a Dunlop sticker on their bike but they use Michelin tires.
Just my opinion.

Hey thanks for the info. I like that Jardine makes things for Team Honda also. If it is good enough for them and I have to imagine that it is good enough for me. I just hear that people don't like them for some reason. They are those that have Yosh or something else though. I guess it is just like Ford vs. GM. I just wanted to make sure before I buy that I am getting a good setup which it sounds like I am. I am new to bikes so I wanted to make sure I looked at everything. I think I will order the Jardine.
