Default Jardine RT-1

Ok so I did some searching and I didn't find to much. I was wondering what everyone thought of this exhaust. I am looking at the aluminium slip on for my 2005 600RR. I was wondering how it sounds, how it fits, etc. For those that have one, have seen it on another bike or just have some info on it let me know. I like the look of it and the price is nice also. I don't ride tons like some others do and I don't want something that is really loud. I just want some more sound and better looks.

I have the race baffle and I love it. I mounts perfectly straight and looks great. It isn't a quiet pipe, especially near the top end, where it screams.

I also have the RT-one... love it. Came with the bike ('03) and I havnt even kicked the idea around of changing systems... just like these guys said ^^^^^ growl down low, nice push during cruise, and absolutely screams on the top end (what wouldnt at 15,200 RPM? :P) I dont think you could go wrong with it....

take it easy,

Chris

I've never heard of Jardine before but i can vouch that Yoshi sounds really great if you're looking for an alternative.

Actually my buddy has the Jardine and I have the Yosh both on 1000RR's. Believe it or not, they sound exactly identical. So go with what looks best to you. I like the Yosh because it fills out the tail better and the Jardine and 2Bros can both stick out just a bit too far for my taste.

Thanks for all the info guys. I like the looks of the Yosh so I might look into it. I also like the idea that it doesn't stick out as far. I don't want something to stick out to far and then be stuck with it and hate it. Is doing the install of either exhaust systems hard?? I am not that mechanically inclined. I was going to pay $50 for my local shop to install it and just call it good. What does everyone think???

50 bucks to install a can is unheard of. I am not too mechanically inclined and I was able to put on the can and a Comp Werks eliminator kit in about 6 hours. Would I do it again? Probably not. It was a real bitch getting the original can off.

If you seriously can it it installed for 50, don't think twice, do it. In reality, you are looking at 250 minimum labor for that where I live and not every shop will do it.

Not really hard to install the slipon.. Just lots of little tibbits to do. Also if you're oging to get yosh, make sure you get something to clamp down the clamp cuz it's almost impossible to clam it toghether to put in the bolt with your bare hand. Unless you jerk off a lot... jk
