Default Cut Down Jardine?

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, so don't rip into me too bad if it has. But i was wondering how to cut down an exhaust pipe. I've seen some people say that they are going to do it and then show pictures on what it looks like but idk how to go about it without messing it up. I have a CF Jardine RT-One can and wanted to know how to chop it down. Also, How much to chop it down. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I was wondering how hard it would be to cut Carbon. Will it cut easy or tear apart?

I'm not sure. I have heard that people can do it with a tape trick or something.

Unless you're willing to shell out cash for a replacement, take it to a pro. It's very easy to screw up if you don't know what you're doing. A bandsaw with a laser guide is probably the best bet. I would think a chopsaw would crush it.

A few people have done it, You can do it with a cut off tool and you need a welder to get everything back together.

Or you can take it some one to weld back together.
You just need some practice and experimentation

So I noticed you cut your pipe down sucsessfuly. How did you cut the carbon fiber and how was it? Did it cut smooth and clean like cutting metal? Is there anything to watch out for when cutting carbon? I was debating on doing this on my 2 bros carbon can after I custom fit my arrow header I am getting from another member on the forum

I have done it to mine. It sounds a lot better and looks great. It wasnt too difficult but there were a couple things that were a pain in the butt. Here is a how to link... https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-mechanical-40/shorty-exhaust-how-71596/

That's exactly how I did it on my steel/aluminum M1; however I am not sure how easy it would be on a CF canister. On my RC days, I had to modify a CF chassis, and it was a pain in the butt...

The only thing I remeber about cutting the CF piece was that it was a very hard material, with an almost uncutable feeling to it. After many many dremel discs, I was finally able to acomplish the task!

I drilled out the rivets on the end of the pipe and took out the end cap and then i just slowly cut it with a ban saw and it worked like a charm. I then used a rivet gun to re-rivet the end cap back on and then it was done. very simple if you have the right tools. I think it sounds a lot better....its a little louder and deeper but the same tone that it had before....which was exactly what i was looking for.
