Yeah you can jump it with your car but its not like jumping a car. LEAVE YOUR CAR OFF just connect the cables with the car NOT RUNNING! pop your seat off connect them and your bike should start right up if its the battery cause i know mine was dead i just had to do mine earlier today.

i dont mean to hi-jack this thread
But,If your battery is dead the dealership quoted me 165.00 for mine(06 CBR 600RR). I went to batteries plus and bought the YZT-10s(the battery it takes) for 69.99 brand new with a 1 yr war. You can have it shipped if there is not one near you. Just a heads up.

Another quick check too for ya i know on my bike I was getting no power at all to my bike after i fell doing slow wheelie. it ended up being the main fuse its located right behind your battery towards the rear seat its a 30 amp fuse. Its inside the relay looking thing you have to unclick the red thing and its undeneath there. there should be an extra 30 amp fuse in the rubber that attatches it to the bike
