Im still looking in getting a 08 cbr RR, still taking my time and paying off some of my bills. Imma see if I can get it for around 9,000 OTD with gap insurance and 2 year extended warrenty.

I grabbed a new 06 RR for 10500 Canadian. Thats OTD with taxes (our tax rate is double that of most of the states, 14%) Plus a 5 year warranty. Also I had to finance which obviously reduces some of my negotiating power. All in all not a bad deal.

doing the same thing right now.. im picking up either an 08 graffiti (if its still there) or an 07 in red (selling fairings to buy white ones) ...
i got my out the door quotes (not including sales tax) the 07 will run me $8000 out the door, but the 08 they want $9600. Even if its there i think i will have a hard time talking myself into buying the graffiti for that much more, just for powdercoated parts.
+ the dealership is going to keep my bike there in heated locked, no one messing with it storage until better weather hits NY. no charge.
most of the prices i have researched
07 $8100 - $8800 OTD
08$9000 - $10000 OTD

Well the other day I had some spare time and I went to the local bike dealer, it was about an hour prior closeing time, I walked in, the salesmen asked me how he could help me, I told the guy i'd like to buy a bike, he asked me what kind, I said im looking for a 07/08 CBR600RR and he pointed me tothe graffti model.
I look at it, sit on it, and I look at the price tag, its like msrp 9899,+1300 dealer vehicle freight/preparationand then + government fees, taxes. so I asked him, if hecould he do around $9,000 otd or even sticker priceotd and hes like " wat?!? this is a$13,000bike, I can't sell it to you forthat.

Look at the MSRP, you should have a lot of room to wiggle on a price that high. Dealerships want )7's off the floor because the 08's are here and riding season is almost upon us, use it to your advantage.
To be honest, if you looked REALLY hard, you *might* even be able to find a 1000cc for the amount they want.
