HID Kit: Where to Hide Ballasts?

I have a 2005 600RR and got a HID kit. The ballasts are full sized, not those mini ones. It's hard to cram them somewhere where it doesn't affect thr steering column in some way. Any Suggestions??

can't you cut them to reduce the length?
