5'5 will put on your toes, but you'll be ok. You be fine, I've seen shorter, around 5'3 riding without a problem. Go to a dealership and test sit one.

I am 5'6" plus a couple inches added with boots and just make it by tip toeing with both feet and this after the spring loads were broken in. But, just lean to one side and you'll be all right.

I had my 5'4" and she's able to touch with the ***** of both feet. She was more comfortable leaning flat on one foot. But here's another thing to consider, inseam. My buddy that has about the same build as me, 6' 220lbs stands on tip-toes to reach the ground. His jeans are 30" on the inseam and I wear 32's to 34" inseam. 34" for riding so I don't look like I'm wearing high-waters while I'm riding with my legs all bent up.

im 5'7" ish and im on the ***** of my feet, i usually only put one foot down so its not a problem but i can get most of two feet down if i want. you definatly need to just find one and sit on it and see how it feels. im more comfortable on my bike then i am on a new r1 even though i can put two flat feet fown on the r1, seats alot narrower i think.

As long as you can touch the ***** of your feet, you'll be okay. Lower it a little and roll with it.

I'm 5'3" with a 28" inseam. I can't even get one foot down with the ball of my foot. I do fine. I'm not an advocate for lowering bikes, especially if you plan to ride aggressively.

Here's some food for thought.....If you had to ask this question, perhaps this isn't the bike for you. Its not a beginner's bike.
