mine is geared -1, +2, full akra. power commander blah blah, so it pulls pretty hard in 5.5, but i do keep in mind not to let the rs drop to low incase i have to get outa a blind spot or somthign. but 5.5 picks up nice on my setup.

You have 15,000 RPM's to play with. Since you're new to riding, I would keep it below the 8500 mark until you get used to it and slowly work your way up. Once these bikes hits 10,000+, you're riding a completely different machine. Just take it easy.

16 days 33 miles. A big reason for this is that in my state you must ride with another motorcyclist if you have your permit. I take the MSF on Jul 5, so I can get my endorsment and be all legal and stuff

these bikes feels much better on higher revs...i used to bounce off my rev limiter all the times...
damn...i miss my honda...[X(]
