has anyone had trouble with their front brake just locking up

 

No but lately is has been sounding like metal on metal. That normal either?>

Locking up? so you ate **** i take it? cause if your front brake LOCKED you would flip forward. And as for my answer to your queston NO.

 

You would think so, but not always true...I've made my front tire skid more than a few times (by accident) and didn't flip or eat ****...its easier with cold tires, but I've done it on the freeway going around 70ish after a cage cut me off...

Burn, can you elaborate a bit on this "locking up" issue...like how and when does it happen?

i've locked and not endo-ed. it kinda hops along and you can hear the tire chitter to itself. steering feels really weird...

 

i just got new tires on my bike and drove about thirty feet and my front braje locked up and i skidded about twenty feet and got some pretty bad road rash and i think they mounted my tire wrong and was wondering if that was it or something else

 

tires don't lock up by themselves. a seizure happened somewhere, be it on the rotors or the axle.

 

so what do i need to check for? my plan was to tske it to the honda place and have them check out everything i need to replace, so what else do i need to have them look at the brakes obviously but what part of the brake or is there a certain installation procedure for the disc
