Was looking to buy a used 04 600RR with an 06 engine upgrade, about 20k miles on bike, 2k on the 06 motor. Are there any precautions to look out for when purchasing a bike with an engine swap? Anything off the top of anyone's head I should be aware of? Thanks in advance.

 

I purchased an 03 with a blown motor asnd just replaced the motor with an 06 motor. The 03 tru 06 are the same motor. Just listen to ity and if it sounds good there should be no problem. My bike had 8000 miles in it and the motor I purchased had 4000 so I did well. Just make sure the person that did the swap routed everthing correctly. Johnny
