Can you take that part off the bike yourself? I have a friend who is a hell of a tool welder, and I am a Tool & Die Maker. If you could ship me all the parts, we could surely take a look at it for you. I can't promise miracles, but it looks like a clean break, and I might be able to help you. I know times are tight, and I wouldn't charge you, except for the return shipping, I love to do this kind of stuff. Let me know if that's feasible. Worst case scenario, we send it back to you as is.

That looks like an oil gallery to me and its a critical part of the block. Thats going to be a tuff call. Johnnyh

Default Idk

idk man it is a pretty clean break. Idk about sending the whole block out to you.. Too much. If I'm gonna take the block out then I'll just replace it and that's a bit too expensive. My buddy who knows his suff is going to thread a pipe in and then another piece for that lil vent I. There...what's your take on that idea?

That oil gallery is the main gallery from the oil filter and there is oilpressure there while the engine is running. The vain to the top is what lubricates the cams and valves. Johnnyh

Ok I understand. Do you think threading it with a pipe and welding it the. A sleeve or somethin for the vain would work? I mean I got to try something cuz a whole new block would be like 600-900 bucks I don't have at all..

Yea nothing better then threading, its finding a way to fit the top vain to it and keep the oil going up. But it could be done. I have seen blocks on ebay for about 80.00. 03 to06 are all the same. I paind 500.00 shipped for my engine with 3000 miles. Johnnyh
