Hey guys,

Just had a quick question regarding the location of the oil drain plug. I just got my first bike and wanted to do a few quick maintenance before i ride it.

is this the drain plug? Its a 17mm ..
the picture is from the left hand side of the bike, on the right is the kick stand.

yeah thats the sump plug. when you put it back in make sure not over tighten it. its a pain in the **** to get the sump off to fix it

 

i tried loosen it last night..and i think i might have stripped it..it just spins. tried using a screw driver, pull it down while loosening it, but it doesnt come out. Tried tightening it and it just spins also. :\ The previous owner had it one TIGHT...

 

sounds like its f***ed you will have to take the sump off and have a look. you might be able save the sump if its not to bad but it dont sound like it. once you have it off post a pic of the bolt and thread inside the drain hole.

 

If you can't find another oil pan, I can repair it for you... Just pay shipping and 20 bucks or something.
