Default HELP -- Oil Drain plug

I was changing my oil and had just drained all of the oil out of the bike. I was going to put the oil drain bolt back on, along with a new aluminum waser. So, I set my torque wrench to the proper spec (21 ft-lbs) and started torquing it. But for some reason, my torque wrench never clicked and I stripped the bolt!!

I went and bought a new bolt, and now it looks like the threads where the bolt screws into are stripped, too!!! I'm such an idiot, please, what can I do about this?

How stripped is it? can you run a tap through it and even it out? or are the threads completely gone?

Youwill either have to drill and retap to a bigger size drain plug or helicoil it. A helicoil will be alot stronger since it is a steel indert. If u dont know what u are doin have a dealer do it. It shouldnt cost that much.
