Default Cbr 600rr Comfort

I owned an F3 and an F4 many years ago and my last bike was a Honda 599 naked bike. I regret selling it and am in the process of looking for an F4. A friend who owns a small bike shop got me to test ride a 2003 600rr, the reason being was because the bike was lowered a fair bit and seemed to fit me reasonably well. The previous owner was a petite female, so the bike was made to fit a smaller person. The bike has 20 000 kms and has some extras.....pazzo levers an after market exhaust, double bubble screen etc....I was never in the market for an all out sportbike and was reluctant to test ride. Bottom line was that it felt ok for a short ride. I would like to know from 600rr owners about living with the rr. Most of my riding takes place in the city with some highway trips....little or no long range touring. The owner of the shop says that he has reversed the handlebars in the past to make the bike more comfortable, but I have never heard of that before. Is it used for stunting? The bike looks awesome and a lot of the work I need done is complete. ( Lowering links, modified stand, lowering front , high end exhaust.... ) Honda,s are so popular and easy to sell, that i could buy the bike , ride it for a few years and then re coup some of my money back. ( price is 4500-5000 ).
Lastly, is it possible that the newer RR bikes have a more comfortable riding position, say from 2007 on than the older 600's.....or are they pretty much all the same.
P.S. Being only 5'4" tall and 54 years old, the smaller feeling RR bike and lighter feeling RR might make more sense than the bigger F4i......or should I not even consider the bike. Bottom line is that i want the bike to be somewhat comfortable and enjoyable to ride.
P.S. A friend of mine who is 48 years old rides an older CBR 929 and he finds the bike very comfortable to ride. Most Honda,s are. I think the 2003 600 has a lower handlebar position than the 929. Any input would be appreciated as i am considering buying this bike before it's to late. Thanks in advance for your input.

I had an 04 F4i and i can say it was more comfy than my 06 600rr...

If you take a long trip on the 600rr you will feel it more than the F4i IMO....But the 600rr isnt uncomfy its just a little ruffer riding.

I'm 48 and I love stunting and riding, its just a part of my nature. I still own my 900 on my avatar and I also own a cbr600rr and the ride on the 600 is better then the 900 but in the 600 your body is more in a racing position, its just built that way. I also own a gsxr600 05 model and the gsxr is a very smooth bike all around. One thing for sure the cbr600rr is a very sexy and fast bike. Johnny

the 03 cbr RR has a crazy stance compared to other years/bikes.. the overall angle is more of a slant than other bikes like say the f4i.. my rr sits up higher in the rear and lower in the front than everyone elses bike i've ever seen.. the f4i is definitely more of a cruiser position..

I just rode a 300 mile trip and I gotta say it wasnt too bad, although you might want to invest in some stomp grip because my ***** were killing after. From all the braking and bumps, they were getting knocked against the tank and/or slipping under my *** and getting crushed, it was awful. Sorry for bringing back an old thread

Vasoline your ball sack and then duct tape it to your upper thigh. It should work and you wont sit on or smash your nuts off the tank.

It will stick fine, but only use a thin coat. If you don't use enough it will tear the hair out of your sack.
