Default Buying an '04

I've been looking at this 2004 600RR and it is pretty nice but it has been dropped once. The underside of the left fairing is a bit scuffed up but other than that it looks to be in pretty good shape. It has 8000 miles, new tires, tune-up. It is adult owned and totally stock. The guy was asking 5600 with a jacket and practically new seperate rear tire included and says he is a little flexible on the price. What do you guys think about this. I have been riding a ****ty cb250 for awhile and have been looking for a 600RR for a while that is within SLO county. I gave it a pretty thorough looking over today but it was raining so no test ride. Any input would be appreciated.

well he said he was flexible on the price so I was going to call him with a lower offer than 5.6 hundred in a couple of days and see what he thinks. What is the condition of the 600RR you're checking out? Sorry, never been dropped is what I read after posting this. Sounds like a sweet deal. I haven't seen a single 600RR around here for sale for a few months so that is probably why he is asking so much.

5K is a reasonable and acceptable offer for an 04 with 8k miles and has been dropped. 5.5K - 6.5k for one that hasn't been dropped. i got my 03 for 6k with 800 miles on it and never dropped it was pretty much just broken in.

No kidding. My ride was 6400 with approx 7500 miles. But it was flawless... until I fell over in the driveway and then again when grandpa pulled out on me Granted, it had a bunch of aftermarket stuff...

For that price get a 05, better mid range and a tad lighter. I have a friend that just bought a GSXR1000 and is selling his black 04 for 4k it's immaculate, so yeah, 5.6k is a bit high imho. The bike is loacted in Hanford Ca, which isn't too far from you
