Cool Battery question for an '03 RR

I just recently got an 03 RR, and I havent been able to ride it much because I'm waiting on the title so I can register it. I went to take it out the other day anyway, and I left the lights on when I was in my house for about 5 mins, without it started up. I went to start it, and it didn't turn over, and I tried about 3 more times, each time with increasingly less success. I ended up popping the clutch to fire it up. How quickly do the batteries drain on these? I'm new to motorcycles, and I figured maybe 5 minutes might be enough. If the battery is bad, where can I get one, and for how much? Also, how hard is it on the bike to bump start it? Thanks a ton,
-Steve

i have the same problem with my 03...once you run start it and you get into third gear or higher your bike will start to charge the battery... and if that doesnt work than you might need a new battery...
