Default 3rd Eye Removal

How the heck do I take the 3rd eye out of a 2005 600RR..? Please tell me that I do not have to take the upper off to change this little bulb. I want to put a little bit brighter bulb(white) in there to make it more noticeable for oncoming cars @ night. I'll most likely order the tripage 3led system in white...but i wanna know what im getting into before i dig in.

Thanks in advance

Justin H.

Cmon guys, alot of you have done this mod with the tripage led's, did you remove your upper to put it in, or remove the 2 screws on the 3rd eye and pull it out. Please help, looking to upgrade it.

I changed my bulb, but not the whole kit, You just take out the 2 screws and i just put the screwdriver in the 1 screw hole to get it loose and the lens comes right out, and theres a 194 led bulb i think.

Not sure how it works on the 600RR, but both my 900RR and 1000RR have little screws on the front of the lens. Once this is out, you'll be able to see what you'll need to do.

YouTube - Big Kahuna's 900RR/1000RR KITT Lights

On my 900, I had to drill out the old buld housing, but on the 1000RR I was able to remove the soft buld holder and snake the KITT plug through.

I was able to install both by just removing the windscreen. On the 900RR, it's only one bolt to pull of the clocks, so I removed that as well.

Check with Tristan at http://www.Tripageled.comas he first did this mod on a 600RR and will know exactly what you need to do. Make sure you tell him Big Kahuna sent ya!

I just realized that you aren't doing the KITT light, but the single light. It's plug and play baby!!!!!

Here's how it looks on my 900.

I think this is a pic of the bulb socket on the 600RR.
