Default -1 front sprocket change

I have had a -1 front sprocket laying in my garage for the longest time now, I have not put it on because I just put a new rivet type chain on like 2500 miles ago, and i don't want to have to break the rivet again and put a new link in just to change the sprocket... It's a PITA as I'm sure all of you who have done it know.

What I want to know is can I change it without breaking the rivet in my chain, and if not it is no big deal I will just need to go get a new rivet type link, and bust out the trusty chain breaker.

Also, how bad will it affect my speedo, I know there is probably a chart online somewhere, but in all honesty I just didn't look up anything before typing this. Thanks for the help guys.

alittle info, its an 03 600rr
