Default 06 600rr, any common problems?

I have my 600 RR in pieces at the moment. 15k miles. Perfect time to do any look overs or upgrades.

I don't need anything fancy, I just need to know if these bikes have any common problems. For example... CCT? Always a problem on the older bikes. How are the new CCTs? Should I just get an APE manual CCT like I did on my F2?

Any other things to look into?

With the 600RR the common maintenance procedure at about 16-20k you want the procedure is to replace the chain and spocket assembly and check valve clearances. You may also want to flush and refill the brake system, while you have it apart maybe check the coolant. Check the brake pads as well.

There is no coolant left... its just an engine block sitting on stands. :P I could check valve clearance I suppose, but a buddy of mine said that in all the years he wrenched for honda, he has never had to re shim valves. Probably would be a waste of my time.

Default 600 f4i

I have a f4i 2001 amazing bike it's also my first , the only problems I have had with the bike so far have been the cct which I changed for a manuel and the battery , I changed the battery out too and now it runs great ! Well recently it died on me but I just noticed the negative connection to the battery was loose but besides that a really well rounded bike !
