I ride really hard a lot and got a new fuel pump last year(well it was used) because my bike would bog and be un-rideable,,,,,,, problem fixed!!
recently after a year a half it started doing it again every so slightly but I just ignored it and it seemed to go away.. like only happen 4 or 5 bogs per ride
Then it got worse and it would just bogg constantly,,,, but still accelerate the bike just sound and ride like crap, it wasn't specific RPM range what so ever ,,, i could get a bog as 4k rmp or like 6 of them in a row then it would just come out of it for a second and get up to High RPMs and then do it again and if I kept giving it Throttle it would eventually get me to redline ish just run like **** constant bogs (bike was ridable , could get you from a to b but would just bog all the time , maybe like 20 bogs a min I have been riding around the neighborhood and close to my house testing it.
also quick note when not under load (neutral or clutch pulled it , did not bog at all what so ever... I would be riding and bogging like crazy and at anypoint I could pull in the clutch and rip the throttle to redline over and over again not a single bog
So I decided to get a new fuel pump. this Time aftermarket High flow. just installed it tonight. Bike started right up INSTANTLY
Thought it was fixed. Was riding good and by the time I got on the interstate I got 1 bog... uhg... kept riding wanted to get the new fuel pump broken in. Started happening more on randomly at highspeeds but nowhere near as it was before. maybe 1 to 2 a min (randomly different RPM ranges . nothing consistent) I tried torture testing it and would get to 10k rmp then throttle to 14k then let off then back on to 14 like 10 times in a row....didnt bog once during that but then like just accelerating later like 1min it would bog a little then go away. So yeah thats where im at.
NEW Fuel pump bogs 90% less then the one that was on before... the next thing im going to do it try spark plugs,,,, But I would assume that the spark plugs would still show signs of issue when reving and not under load if they are bad too..
