tat2highway's 99 cbr f4 track build
I pretty much acquired this bike for no cost to me. long story short, I was supposed to work on it for a guy. he never had the money to buy parts it needed, then after a year and a half of me trying to get him to come pick it up, he says he aint worried about the POS bike and that its my problem now. so... no title... its gonna be a track bike.
I am currently in the process of seeing what parts I need and which I don't just to get it running. I have yet to hear this bike run, but was told it did. its gonna need a lot of love to get looking good again, but ive polished bigger turds into diamonds before, so I'm not that worried. cutting out majority of electronics not needed for the track will help simplify the harness. I am also gonna run a toggle for the ignition and another toggle for the kill switch. I had a old horn button I would like to make use out of and turn it into the starter button. I know I will need a resistor for the ignition. will I need them for the starter or kill switch too? any help will be appreciated on that matter. I downloaded a picture of the wiring schematics that will help out tons.
anyways... let the madness begin... this will be a ongoing journal/build. it will help my document any process made for the next owner to know what has been done to the bike...

Here is my track build if you need any inspiration. I did a good bit of work on the rear suspension to make up for the abysmal swingarm angle that this bike has stock. Went from 8deg to 13deg with a shock swap from a 600RR and it made all the difference in the world.
Check it out, let me know if you have any questions.
