Stuttering in second gear CCT

Stuttering in second gear CCT
When I accelerate in second gear, (WOT, or almost), around 8k-10k rpm my bike jumps, skips, stutters. It only does it in 2nd gear, what could this be ?
The bike has 22 000miles. It's a 99 CBR 600 F4. Could it be the CCT? If so, how much does it cost to fix, or can I do it myself?

RE: Stuttering in second gear CCT
Its not the CCT, that makes a sound around 5-6k rpm in any gear. What do you mean it skips and jumps? if I am thinking what you are it sounds like something is effecting the carbs from getting enough fuel, causing it to stutter. If it is jumping or slipping it could be your second gear, maybe bent forks or something with the clutch. When you are getting on it, it is probably jumping in and out of gear giving you that stutter. Just a few things I could think of right away.

RE: Stuttering in second gear CCT
Having the same problem with another type of bike (under warranty). Getting it checked out now. From what I've been told is that the gear (2nd has been chipped) slips out of place under acceleration (my problem is on a Kawasaki around 9k) because its not making full contact in the gear housing. Very serious problem that you will have to address or you could damage the main drive gears by riding on a damaged tranny. I'll keep you posted about my problem, but it sounds like its the eact thing mine has been doing.

RE: Stuttering in second gear CCT
i tell you the problem is in the gearbox.
I had the same problem. The problem is caused by the 2nd and 6th gear's pinion. the 6th comes into the 2nd. they are pair. It also affected the shift forcks. (there are 3 of them, but only the one who cnages the 2nd is affected i suppose)
so u'll need to change the 2nd and 6th pinion and the damaged shift fork. and the problem will be solved.
Go to your local Honda dealer and tell them the problem.
Good Luck
