Stutter at 4-5K RPM's
I have a 2000 F4 as most of you know. it has 29K on the clock and has always run great. I had a full service and tune up done in the fall and the bike ran even better. Over the winter I have kept the bike started once a week and have rode it a few times. About 2 months ago I noticed that it has a stutter when you crack on it hard and fast at aobut 4-5K RPM's. I have taken it out a few times and it does it worse when you ride it, but it does not so it all the time and some times it's alot worse then others. I have Seafoam in the take and it doese not seem to help. keep in mind the bike starts right up even in very cold temps, idels great and runs fine in the upper RPM's.
I called the dealer that worked on it and the service advisor told me that it could be a mix of weather and older fuel and to keep riding it when I can and get all the fuel out of it and put fresh fuel in and see if it goes away before I take it to the shop. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks. Ben.
