I have a 954 that I haven't put the lowering link on, yet. In regular shoes, I can barely touch the ground, but in my SIDI Vertigo boots, I can touch with a but more than my toes, and I am able to ride and stop alright. With my boots and the adjustable link, I'll have no trouble at all getting the ***** of my feet down comfortably. Boots, a link, and maybe shave your seat; you'll be good. With a link, though, depending on how low you go, you may also need a new kickstand.

I spoke with the Dealership and the shop manager says he wont order the Convertibars until he see me on the bike with boots on. He says we will do the handlebars as a last resort if we need too. He doesn't want me to spend lots of money if not needed. Wow that was a shocker! Thanks again everyone for your help should be picking up the bike next week weather permitting. Now looking for new boots, coat and new helmet.

I love Alpinetstars S-MX2 boots. Alpinestars S-MX 2 Boots - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore
I find myself stopping on the toe with that boots. Like I mentioned before, get one size bigger. you need toe extension not heel. Lots of "tall" people do not understand when we say we are short. They always recommend boots with higher heel. but well, in my case, there will be no way my heel gonna touch the ground if I am stopping with two feet. S-MX2's toe is very strong. I do either 5 or 5.5 on regular shoes, but my boot is 38, which equal to 6.5 women's size. I use two sets of insoles.
Also, practice stopping with feet on the rear brake and taking off like that. Cuz you will find us short people will have less feet power to keep the bike from rolling even in very tiny slope.
Another thing is, If you don't lower your bike as much as I did, you maybe able to get a rear crash bar hooked up to the passenger pegs and go under the tail in case you ever drop. My another short friend has it and she said she dropped so many times but that bar always saves her bike from damages.

I don't know if rearset will help. I changed mine to adjustable Rezoma on 600rr and I used the excuse as I am short and I need it. But I just wanted it. lol My pegs are set on the highest position and it did not feel any different.
More and more you ride your bike, you will get used to with the size of the tank. On gxsr, I felt uncomfortable at first because of the tank size, but once i start going, it doesn't bother me.
