Replacing Fuel Pump... any tips?

The filter was like $14 and the pump was like $100 I think... got them from servicehonda.com. Shipped pretty quickly too. Install wasnt bad.. seat off, ram air covers off, tank off... its pretty much right there.. dont forget to turn the petcock off.. if nothing else.. if your fuel filter hasnt been changed in a while I'd do that.. but if its happening so often I doubt that is the primary problem... unless it is so clogged that the dirt is getting sucked in and clogging the inlet...

I put a new pump on last year at the 20000 mile mark along with a filter that I change every year. I put another filter on 2 weeks ago after I had my first stranded night in the middle of nowhere at 2am. Because of the sitting for 20 mins and then starting up and running like a champ Im alomost leaning toward something over heating or intermittent. Might be time to bite the bullet and haul it to the shop. Ive always done all of my own work but this ones driving me crazy.
