Default Replacing fuel pump

I hear this is a fairly easy job - does anyone know where a good write up is of it though. I checked the contacts (they were burnt out) so i replaced them - but I came to find out my fuel pump is actually bad as well. So - I have to dish out the $130.00 to replace it - should i do the fuel filter as well? Thanks for your time - cheers

The fuel pump is only held in place by the rubber holder that it sits in. There is one connector and 2 hoses. It doesn't get much easier than that. Lifting the back end of the tank about 4 inches will help you get to the connector for the fuel pump. There are 2 vent hoses that you'll have to disconnect from the tank to raise it.

CBR 900rr,some Kawi's and FZR's/YZF's use the exact same pump, might be able to get it for a little less with a little homework.

Sounds good, guess it's just diving in and doing it just like anything else - thanks for the advice!

Check out this whole thread. I think it should be a sticky but it talks about a much cheaper fuel pump from autozone or something. The links to the actual pumps are on page 3 thanks to IdoDirt

Ive been getting around with my gravity feed, but I plan on doing this once i have 60 bucks to burn.

Please check out that link to the https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f3...-116515/page3/

great info there. I actually bought the aftermarket fuel pump stated in the posts, although it costed me about $79. a bit pricey, but it for sure beats spending the $160 at the dealership.
