Rear axle clicking noise
I have a Honda CBR600F4 that was laid down on the left side at a very slow speed (approx 5mph). In addition to some fairing scratches there is a loud "clicking" noise coming from the rear axle (chain/sprocket?) as the wheel turns. It is mostly heard at slow speeds in 1st or 2nd gear. The click gets more rapid as I speed up and either goes away or I can't hear it anymore at higher speeds. Any ideas?
anyone who is in my neck of the woods...i welcome! as long as you ain't a punkarse...but i won't do the work...i'll tell you what to do so you learn it well...as i drink beer and smoke the fatty...muahahhaha...
Thanks for the input! I have not put it up on a stand yet, but it does not make the noise when I am in neutral and there is no tension on the chain, so I am fairly certain it is the chain or the sprocket. I can't find any links on the chain or teeth on the sprocket that are damaged, so I am guessing it is an alignment issue, or I am just not seeing the damaged piece. I can't think of anything else that it could be. Does that sound like a reasonable assumption, any other thoughts as to what it may be? I do like the cig and beer idea...

i still think it's an aligment issue...the sprocket and chain are no longer aligned so it clicks at every so many turns, etc...
or you knocked your rearset loose and it's hitting your chain
