Hey - it's just a simple rubber piece of molding... not glued or anything.

cwmc - where did you get your sliders and how much did they run you?

while you're at it... where'd you get the windscreen? is it a zero gravity?

I got the frame sliders from www.hardracing.com
I'm sure you can find them cheaper if you look.
The screen is in fact a Zero Gravity double bouble. I like it because it gives you the little extra wind protection and when you tuck under at speed, it helps that much more.

Default RE: pics of your frame sliders?

the ones that replace the fairing bolt aint worth shyt. The no-cuts the stick out the opening in th fairing look at closely. What do you see directly behind that you wouldnt want ant banging against?? Yea the cylinder head. NO CUTS SUCK and are worth the trouble or money. Get a good set of quality sliders and cut a hole, thats the only right way to do it.

Default RE: pics of your frame sliders?

i'm only start to searching, and make this pics set as starting point i also don't like "in gill" sliders because it set very high - i don't why, but it daunted me. the ones that replace the fairing bolt i think may additional damage the plastic.
what about using cut-sliders as first guard shield and "in gill" (like t-rex no cut) as second, maybe to protect the tank, mirrors, upper plastic, lights, windscreen ect. - no?
and what about sliders form, must it be like mushroom (more probability to be hooked for roughness on the road but more contact area) or cylinder?

so, search proceeds...

T-Rex Racing Frame Sliders / ~25$

Frame sliders / plastic body protectors (one LHS and one RHS). The sliders are made of Aluminum Alloy 6061-T6 and Delrin Acetal plastic-An engineering thermoplastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. The bolts are made of highest grade comercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength). Rest assured that you are getting the best material commercially available.

Woodcraft Frame Sliders / ~70$

Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patent pending design features a universal slider puck that fits nearly all slider models. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole.
The MOST Durable sliders on the market. WOODCRAFT's patented perpendicular attachment bolt allows the slider to be solid rather than hollow like other sliders - providing nearly 50% more material to grind down before replacement.

Hassle Free Slider Replacement with the US Patented perpendicular mounting bolt. WOODCRAFT slider pucks are removed fast - without the hassle of digging a bolt out of a distorted hole.

Ideal Length - WOODCRAFT's experienced racer R&D squad made it clear that sliders must stick out far enough to protect the bike, but not so long that they get ripped off as the bike slides down the road. WOODCRAFT sliders give the protection you need without the tendency to grab traction in a crash.

GSG-Mototechnik / ~120$ + 25$ (Shock Absorption Caps)
