RE: pics of your frame sliders?
I have the vortex frame sliders. I don't have any close up pics, but I hope these help.
How I did it was I removed the side fairing and put the slider base on. I covered it with chalk and put the fairing back on. I pushed the fairing against the slider base and it left a chalk outline against the inside of the fairing. I drilled a pilot hole from the inside out then taped up the fairing on the outside and drilled out the hole. The whole process only took about 30 min.

I don't have any pictures but will try to post some. I have the no cut frame sliders and they protected my bike when some one ran into it in a parking lot and knocked it over on the right side. They saved my front fairing from getting any damage and they held up quite well, I was pleasantly surprised on how well they protected my F4. When I got them I didn't think they would hold up to anything, but they're pretty strong. I got them from E bay for about $60.00 and I didn't have to cut holes in my newly painted fairings.

Its hard to see but they are there. I did mine similar to cwmc, except I just screwed the bolt into the mount where it needed to go and put the fairing back and let the screw impression in the foam of the side fairing mark my center spot. then I drilled a pilot hole from the back and then proceeded to drill out the rest from the front. I hit it the edge of the hole with some sandpaper and viola!
