Default over heating

Any ideas? My 00 f4 has 45000 mi on it and is getting hot really fast. I changed the coolant at 29,000 mi, I hear the fan and The coolant is at the right level.

the fan could be goin out (not blowing good enough, ive had gf's that are like that LOL) You could put a manual fan switch on the bike since you know when its supposed to come on but you'll still need a new fan if the old one is takin a chit. You can turn a manual switch on a little before the set temp the factory has. I usually turn mine on at 210-215 on my f4i. The stock fan temp is around 227

If its not the fan the other thing it could be is you might have an air bubble in the cooling system which would make it heat up quick.

Flush & fill w/ new coolant using proper service procedure. Then, check for proper operation. Its a good idea to do this once a year, especially if you ride year-round.

My F4 just hit 33K miles and it usually stays 1/2-3/4 of the way hot since theres no actually numbers to describe it, in heavy traffic is the only time the fan kicks on (little over 3/4 on the heat guage) like at stop lights or group riding through vacation areas haha, you know what im saying, and ive seen multiple other f4s and my friends ninjas and they stay in that area, so im not sure how long youve had yours but if you just got it and its in that range I would say its normal, and I tend to ride a little hard sometimes as I have a 20 mile commute to work everyday on I30 then downtown traffic.
