Just installed my new mirrors, tinted flush mounts and bar ends. By the time I finished it was dark and my Iphone takes crappy pix during the day so I wasnt even going to try it tonight. But I will have pix up in the morning.

 

I think I want to go this route, If someone who is better at chopping images than me could re do this better, that would be awesome, I want to see what it will look like before buying a 03 r1 tail, Here is my rough ... really rough draft

 

If I do go this route I will more than likely be doing some cutting and welding, would probably raise the rear just a little to open up the area between the tail and the tire, like most newer bikes...

Coments, ideas, or any info would be greatly appreciated, and will help this project get started... Also if I do this I will post all pics of the mod

Ya thats where I got the idea, I should have kept my 02 gsxr1000 tail, probably would have worked, Im not dead set on the 03 r1 tail, just something custom, cant find any f4's with custom tails, except for the f4i step seat conversion, but to many people have that, I want something trick

 

All done. I dont know if im going to do some kind of decal or not but until I make up my mind I'm ALL DONE FINALLY ........................ I hope. Just added the flush mounts, mirrors, and bar ends.

 

Im not a big fan of spiked bar ends (or anything spiked on a bike), but that's just me.. the bike came out awesome though.. tough to believe that in such a short time it changed from the red bike...

Not sure about what to do about decals.. on one hand it would break things up, but on the other hand the black looks so damn smooth.. almost dont want to mess with it.

I'm hopin to put my rim stripes on Thursday.. I'm off this week..

 

I agree about the spikes... dangerous.. Im a very agressive rider, and wouldnt want to get impaled... The bike is looking way good tho, better than mine, but I just had to get mine working, when I save up more money I will make it nice.

I just noticed from the pics how much higher the stock bars are from mine, mine come withen a 8th of a inch from hitting the plastic covers that come off of the tank
