I had a black 97 s1 lightning with pm wheels, absolutly loved that bike, I went to the first buell homecoming in wisconsin, and they handed out plaques to oldest and youngest riders, who rode the longest distance to get there, and a bunch of other stuff, i was 15 at the time riding with a permit, wasnt suposed to be riding anything bigger than a 125, and got the youngest rider plaque, my grandfather who went there with me got the oldest rider plaque!!! I also have a B.R.A.G buell riders adventure group magizing, with myself and my grandfather in it!!! when buell first started, it was a big statement to ride a buell, that has all went away now, i dont have much intrest in there newer bikes, but i would trade my f4 in a split sec for a 98 s1 white lightning with the small gas tank, and solo tail!!!! In the tight tight twisties, the jap bikes got nuthin for the buell, the short wheel base, and tons of torque make it purfect for that, but the jap bikes got it everywhere else, better gas milage, more reliable, way more top speed, and high speed cornering, but i do miss that s1

just ordered most of the parts for the f4, new tires, upper fairing, mirrors, puig wind screen, tail fairing, new battery and blinkers, still need the plastic filler pieces for the upper, and will need the sides, and the center, but atleast it will be streetable till I can save up a little more money, here are the "in the beginning pics" after the swing arm replacement.

My girl is still getting plastic surgery but she should be done tommorrow. So I'll just the new full bolt kit I got in the mail yesterday. I needed new ones cuz all of my old ones was red and my bike is being painted triple black, so I got some black bolts and stuff. They even came with a diagram (thank god)

update
so far i have 3 coats of duplicolor brialliant silver automotive on the upper. not the rattle can stuff. 3 on the front fender. one on the sides, tail, and tank i just got in the mail tonight! 3 hours i sanded through 3 layers primed filled a spot primed 3 more x's. and have this tank in its first coat of paint in 2 hrs. wheels have a fresh coat of black now. 4 hour drive to pick up the used and beat up fairings ...done.because the bike was a stunter the front brake res cap was ground down, so i have a new chrome pro tek one arrive tom. with new grips, chrome bar ends and what ever else the hell i ordered from dennis kirk arriving to mor. new rear 190 i mounted in the garage. still rollin on the front race tire that i have melted on the sides. added a quick spin clutch perch. wraped me a new seat for 5.00 bones. original had the square cut in it. took two old seats and had one decent one. steak knife, 5.00 dollars worth of viynal = ONE ..DONE SEAT TILL I FIND a f4i split. ill be done when i get at least three coats of silver on this stuff and have two to three coats of clear to spray on it! also added a new fuel pump. lines and filter.

nice, we all should be on the streets by summer!! I just got my front fender, and a new set of dunlop D207's that im mounting in the morning, also put on a new oil filter, and changed the oil, and got an extra rear shock linkage that i painted black, will also switch that out tomorrow. All the new parts showed up at 7:30 pm, so I mounted the front fender, I still need to paint the upper and the front fender black. Also just ordered R and L ram air grill's and outer piece, and plastic meter covers! Just need the sides and center fairing!!
