Well the tire hugger was a one off find on ebay. The company that makes them is Carbon Tech. But I just found this while screwing around online.
The plastic welder is just a cheapy harbor frieght kit

I use the metal screening for the backing to hold cracks together... The putty I use is Thin Ice as seen here

or you can use kitty hair

Well, since we here on the island are scheduled to get between 3 and 8 inches of snow tomorrow and Friday... I want to bring this back up..
I have always been a fan of my vehicles looking largely stock, but performing better than stock...
I put delrin stock looking bar ends on, I replaced the aftermarket front and rear turn signals with stockers... IMO they are much more visible and then I don't have to replace the signal flasher... I replaced the license plate light in the CE fender eliminator.. I ordered the missing fairing hardware (a few clips and bolts here and there) from RonAyers (hope they will be here soon), and I got some stock front fork reflectors thanks to skoobiedoobie, a member on here (they arent on yet).
Appearance mods still to get:
Reflective red rim stripes
"600F4" stock decals for the tail
Vortex black puck'd frame sliders (I have the pucks, but not the bases)
Here is a pic from last weekend.. washed the cars up nice, so I pulled it out, wiped it down and gave it a quick wax..
Bring on the spring already!
What's going on in your garages?

Here is whats going on in my garage at the moment. Just picked this up for $1100, the swing arm was bent, i removed it and ordered a new one, waiting for it to get here, hopefully tomorrow. Runs great, rode it with the bent swing arm that was scarry...lol should have this thing ready in time for summer, and found insurence for 108 a year
Here is my gsxr1000, before and after totaling it

Mods I did this winter include a new left side rear set, half round chrome pegs all around, silver gas cap and shorty Pazzo levers. And soon to come complete white and red plastics. And to those wondering about the smoked led tail light from ebay. It's ok but isn't a direct plug in and a row of Led's goes on and off on mine all the time. I posted a how to on the wiring of the taillight and the undertail I made by myself.

I was thinking about an LED taillight, but I would rather keep the turn signals seperate... so for me one from Clear Alternatives would be it... I got my stuff from Ronayers today.. forget the slush and snow that made the ride home from work a mess... this weekend will be some light wrenchin.. Im psyched!

Haha nice. My winter mods consist of me twidling my thumbs waiting for more of this... You'll enjoy your F4, its almost as easy to wheelie as my Buell was.

Got the f4 back together today, with the new swing arm, rides great, besides the super bald tires, ordering some new ones today, then all i need is body work, felt like a rolling violation, had no plate on, no tail light, and had the headlight zip tied on, clutched one up in third, felt good, then when i started looking for a place to turn around and head home, i realized i was minus a couple of mirrors, and blinkers...lmao
I dont know if the f4 will clutch up tank spreader wheelies, havnt tried yet

I had a black 97 s1 lightning with pm wheels, absolutly loved that bike, I went to the first buell homecoming in wisconsin, and they handed out plaques to oldest and youngest riders, who rode the longest distance to get there, and a bunch of other stuff, i was 15 at the time riding with a permit, wasnt suposed to be riding anything bigger than a 125, and got the youngest rider plaque, my grandfather who went there with me got the oldest rider plaque!!! I also have a B.R.A.G buell riders adventure group magizing, with myself and my grandfather in it!!! when buell first started, it was a big statement to ride a buell, that has all went away now, i dont have much intrest in there newer bikes, but i would trade my f4 in a split sec for a 98 s1 white lightning with the small gas tank, and solo tail!!!! In the tight tight twisties, the jap bikes got nuthin for the buell, the short wheel base, and tons of torque make it purfect for that, but the jap bikes got it everywhere else, better gas milage, more reliable, way more top speed, and high speed cornering, but i do miss that s1
