Default Need advanced f4 help with rear tire alignment issue

I just bought a 99 f4 for $1100, with no body work on it, and shot out tires.

I didnt notice at first, because i brought it home in my truck, it has no lights on it, but...

The rear tire is leaned in to the left, rode it down my street and holly crap it handles scarry bad, im hoping its a bent swing arm, has anyone seen anything like this before? i will post pics tomorrow.

The rear tire obviously took a hit, there is alot of grass stuck in the bead of the rear tire, but no warp or bend in the rim??

Im stumped, i have had a few builder bikes now, and never had to deal with a rear end problem

No matter what for $1100 this bike was a smoken deal, the motor purs like a kitten, and shifts like new, could easly sell to get my money back, but i love fixing up builder bikes, making something junky awesome again, im prety good at it, but this is new to me HELP...lol

this is my first 600 since highschool, its actually the same year and everything, thats why i got it, its a great commuter bike, really want to keep it, to get me to and from school and work, used swing arm is like $35 on e-bay

also where the shock mount points are, they are all pushed to the left, there is usually like a couple 8ths of an inch on each side and they are pushed to the left

looked down the chain, to see if i could see a twist, and there is one but just a slight one, what are some red lights for a bent frame?

man i hate to say it but it really sounds like your frame is done for. for a couple hun you can get a used frame off ebay. and ones with out titles go even cheaper. just make shure you run the vin#s before purchasing. dont buy a hot frame! machine off the old #s and have someone with a stamp kit restamp your #s on the new frame. provided the title you recieved with your bike is not a salvaged title. i assume this would be legal if the parts frame had clear #s for salvage. if not some one please state other wise. i dont want to give anyone advice that may be illegal.

i lifted the rear and started working on it today, removed the swing arm, and it definatly has a twist in it, everything else seems to be ok, bought a swing arm today on e-bay for $29 shipped, when it gets here i will have to go from there, i took out the frame slider bolts, and the motor stayed in place, if the hit the swing arm took moved the motor, the motor would more than likely want to move, all seems fine, also used measurements and a bubble level and can not find anything irregular, i think im in business for a low cost build!! soon as i mount the swing arm, test ride, and see that all is good, i should be able to complete this bike for about $500 more dollars, and i got a $1600 bike!!

If anyone has any body work for sale let me know!!

Thumbs up frame

cool man! check all the welds on the frame. when you stated the shock mounts where off i asssumed you were talking about at the top. if you have have no other tools run a straight line across the garage floor. and use plumb lines. i hope once you put on your new swing arm everythings straight....good luck. christopher....x60
