I recently purchased a CBR600F4 and it has been lowered about 2.5 inches. Well my buddy came over today and sat on it and said the suspension is TOO soft. He said my back spring is on 1 and my front forks are set extremely soft. I am unsure how i should have it set, the bike is lowered 3 inches. i have noticed if i hit a bump hard the front fairing hits the fender, but it is low. Please give me some advice. Thanks guys!

 

Well you can take her to a dealer / knowledgable shop and ask them to setup your suspension for you.

Or you can DIY (I'd recommend asking your buddy for a hand). Heres a pretty good guide on how to: Suspension Setup Guide @ sportrider.com

 

i was just curious if it needed to be set a specific way seeing as it is lowered.

 

i wasnt sure if when you lower a bike how the front suspension gets set. does it get set any different? and how much do you think a shop would charge me for such work?
