Here's a pic of the backside of the seat. Just get those creases past the edge, then staple. GTG.

Just a small update: I adjusted my suspension and it feels great! The previous owner had the rear preload set to 1 . so I set everything to factory settings. In the process I found out that my front rebound adjusters have ceased along with my rear preload adjuster is all but rusted through.

I did some heavy riding with minimal braking as well to test out the suspension and found my front brakes to be really, squishy. should I overhaul the mater cylinder and put fresh brake fluid in there? I want to get SS lines but I havent decided if I want to swap for inverted forks.

Same dilemma with the rear shock; not sure if I want to keep my current setup our put a 600rr swingarm on.

I would love everyone's opinion.

that's a mouth full. shouldn't need to over haul the MC. If anything SS brake lines and flush of the system and you should be good.

now the forks... I swapped mine to a 1000rr and is much happier than the f4s front end. not to mention bigger brakes.... If you decide to do a whole swap I would wait to do anything major to the brakes.

I'm doing the 600rr swing arm this winter. I would get the 1000rr shock and put in a gold valve kit from race tech. Since you have to put the 1000rr shock in because of clearance issues..

so alot of options to do just tell us your pick and I'll help the best I can

Sweet thanks. I'm talking with ozf4i right now and he gave me a bunch of good info on the swingarm. As far as the front end I'm waiting a complete 1000rr front if I can and see how much that will run me. Right now I got a bunch of stuff to do with the bike.

Glad you are enjoying your suspension much better. Its always one of those things when acquiring bikes, that you need to set the suspension back to stock & then adjust to your specific needs & preferences. <--This is exactly what a suspension shop/tech does first, b/f altering it in any way.

I suggest just rebuilding the front fork tubes or get same replacements. F4/F4i fork tubes go for fairly cheap on eb*y, etc, & are a simple process to rebuild w/ factory or aftermarket components. Even today, oem F4/F4i forks are perfectly suitable for street & track. If you really just have to have USD forks & the entire front end to go w/ it, so be it. Just trying to help you save money but get a good result.

As for your brakes... flush, fill, & bleed first. That may be all you need. However, if you still get the same result... Again, in trying to help you save money... New brake lines & system maintenance will prob do the trick. I can't see you absolutely needing a new master unless it has been damaged in some way.

I tackle most of my projects from a specific need & maintenance standpoint...& as such, a budget standpoint as well. Ask yourself it doing a USD fork front end conversion is really 'necessary' for your needs. Same goes for the swingarm conversion. If you want to do it just for looks, that's your prerogative of course. ;-)

Nevetheless, I'm still enjoying your thread & look forward to seeing whatever you decide to do. :-) Proceed w/ vigor!

i updated the Mod list with the info that I've gathered about Master Cylinders and I adjusted my rear preload up to 5 and am lovin that even more!!

WAHOOO! I just got a 120!! that's 5 days off for all the normal people. So I'm gonna do the clean air mod unfortunately I found out about the time off too late to order pair valve block off plates and have them get here in time :S But I want to remove all the emissions stuff off my bike since its already missing the charcoal canister !?!?!? Yea that was a great find. Im thinking of doing the whole crankcase breather with a catch can, think its over kill and not needed?

Oh and other news I found out a little history about my slip-on it was used on a track bike and the rash on it was from someone draggin pipe. good for him, bad for me. Anyone have any tips to polishing /minimizing the rash outta the can? I'll take pics in the morning.

I decided to nix the the swingarm and fork swaps until I get really serious with track and I can out ride the suspension until than I plan on replacing and overhauling /rebuilding a used and in better shape suspension. Man I can't make up my mind.

Alright, good ol MC-Superstore delivered my stuff today!! Got some grips, new iridium spark plugs and driven block off plates. Tomorrow I have 2yds of CF comin in!!! I stopped by west marine on my way home from work, picked up the epoxy resin!! all I have to do is get the paint stripper!! Oh Im so excited I finally get to wrap the tank.

Unfortunately the block off plates were missing the airbox plug and mc-superstore said that they will play for return shipping and send me a complete set, can't do the pair removal mod this weekend.

Still searching for a clean radiator on ebay (can i strip all the paint off a radiator, will that effect its performance? either positively or negatively). Found one, but can't get it this paycheck because the mrs. wanted a new dining tableI wasn't planning on replacing it but I took a rock to it. So, on top of the rust and rash with some bent fins I figure Ill start keepin my eye out for a good deal; along with a radiator screen.

So tomorrow I start the tank wrap
