Lost my only key...I need help removing the ignition barrel
Hi guys, I lost my only key to the bike, and I don't have the key number. Can someone tell me how to remove the ignition barrel so that I can get the key number and have a key made. I have searched these forums, and have not found any solutions to this problem.
Thanks in advance!!!

For future references, there is a 3 digit code stamped on the inside of the gas tank cap. Make sure you write that down, you can just take that code to any lock smith and they will be able to make the key for you.
Hope this helps
When I called the powersports dealership, they told me that they couldn't make the key for me without the 3 digit code, and the easiest way to get it is supposedly to take off the ignition. I will call a different location and see if they can do it. Thank you for your effort.

The best way to get a new key is to either have a locksmith come out to you to make a new key or to take the ignition to the locksmith. If you have the locksmith come out to you, be prepared to show a registration or something w/ your name on it.

You should be able to pull the whole assembly by 2 bolts that use a torx head, on the underside. May have to buy a socket/wrench special (it's a honking big torx). Then you can check it for #'s or take it to locksmith.

Thanks for the help guys, but I was able to trailer the bike to a locksmith, and 10 minutes later I had 3 sets of keys. I was kinda disturbed at the fact that he did not ask me for the title or registration. Anyways, I did write down the key code on the gas cap, and I shouldn't have to worry about this problem again.
