You can try a locksmith to have it re-keyed. Be prepared to show a title of ownership, though.

Your other choice is to replace the ignition lock.
You can usually find complete ignition/gas-cap/helmet-lock sets on ebay for less than $100.

The dealership may be able to help, IF you can access the under-side of the gas cap.
There is a 4 digit code that specifies the proper key, there.

For the future...write down that code and/or have a lock-smith make spares.

Do a search in these forums for a more comprehensive q&a on the subject.

Hope this helps, Ern

Thanks for your reply. I did try the search function but it wouldn't recognize the term "key", said it was to short. WTF?? As mentioned, first dealer he tried wasn't of any help. After I posted I did look on E-bay. Might post a CL add for all three locks if cant do something @ dealer or locksmith.

It's a 6 digit alphanumeric code and it's on any of the key tumblers, whether it's the gas cap, ignition cylinder or trunk lock. You have to remove the tumblers to get to the key, the easiest one to get to is the ignition cylinder, but Honda uses one-way allen screws so you're gonna have to replace them. Buy the blanks at the dealership and if they don't have the key cutting tool, bring it to a locksmith who does.

The blanks, even at full pop are like $12 a piece. BTW, I work at a dealership and we cut plenty of keys for our customers, if you're having difficulty figuring out a solution, let me know. Maybe we can work something out.

+1 Raylee. Nice offer by him as well.

Also, any locksmith worth his salt can cut you another key.

+1 on getting another 2 keys cut, 1 for use and 1 for safe keeping.

if you bought a new lock i think it would mean drilling the snap-bolts out the back and re-tapping them. please someone correct me if im wrong.

If worst comes to worst you could always just remove the ignition all together and wire in a dead man switch and swap out the gas cap with a key-less.

Only problem is you need a key to remove them , but any decent locksmith will be able to rekey it for you or even code cut a new one.
