Hi,

New to the forum having recently bought myself a 1997 F3 & after sorting a few things out like getting the air induction tubes the right way round on the solenoid valve (!), I'm really pleased & impressed with it. Another thing to sort is the steering lock - does anybody know if the original lock barrel can be swapped into another Ignition switch/lock assembley so that the original key can be retained. I don't particularly want to have two different keys for the Ignition & fuel cap & theres an Ignition switch/steering lock on ebay but without the key.
Any help appreciated.

 

You can always get(30.00) or make(0.00) your own keyless gas cap?

 

Thanks for the reply. I am considering that - I've seen the thread on removing the lock barrel from the tank cap - but if I can swap the barrels in the Ignition switch then I get the best of both worlds.
