Largest front sprocket?
grind away the rear chain tab guide to get the clearance for the teeth.
The 18 gives great top end speed and lower rpm for Highway Runs which
all translates to a much smoother drive line.
Biggest I'm seeing for an F4 is a 17 ........and that's if you are running a
520 chain

like I said, im -1 +3 at the moment.. its almost unbearable riding at 80mph for any extended period of time. the +2 will bring me to just above stock for highway rides, and it can be changed in 5 mins.
Thanks. Yeah, i am aware of that. I'm not very concerned with it however since there will be relatively little time on the new bigger sprocket. the -1 +3 is also fairly new, so wear shouldn't be much of a concern.
Its true, to go up on the front you have to do a 520 conversion. Which means new front and rear sprockets and a new 520 chain. It's also only offered in a 17 tooth (+1). Now, remember that going down one tooth on the front is equal to going up 3 on the rear. So, if you could do a +2 front with you +3 rear, it would be the same gearing as a stock rear, and a +1 front.
So call your local shop and give them these part numbers:
1212-0335 front 17 tooth 520 sprocket
1210-0268 rear 45 tooth 520 sprocket
LM520SOX120 520 chain, 120 links
depending on your states tax rate, it shouldn't cost you anymore than $130 for all three
