Doesnt look too bad.. Fuel leak dad said the bike is too old and insurance will just total it.. I have a feeling he is right. :/

Ouch! Ok, not to panic, there's lots you can salvage that to fix it. The forks will be the most expensive part most likely.

Question is, do you want to buy it back as salvage & fix it? I prob would.

I would have a repair shop fix it i dont have the means nor the knowledge to fix it.. but that might seem like a good idea.. if i get enough from the insurance maybe ill get a new bike who knows. I had liability on my bike but that doesnt matter since she was at fault..

how much do you think parts and labor would run me?

It really depends on what needs to be repaired. Reg shop rate is usually $75-95 per shop hr. Even tho replacing forks is easy, assuming the head bearings & neck (frame) are still good, the job can call for 2-3 hrs of labor, not including forks. Forks are really easy to remove but time-consuming & there inlies the cost.

To be honest mate, I would buy it back from the insurance. You can ask here for help fixing it, I knew nothing about bikes until I came here and started working on mine with the advice given from our members!
