Hi, I had a HID kit on my F4 (until the bulb burnt out...) Anyway, there is more than enough room to put all the stuff in. There is even enough room to put a SPY alarm and HID kit with ballast and igniter. There is a gap between the upper fairing stay and the gauges (backside of gauges obviously) where you can tuck in everything you want and still have space left. I have my SPY alarm module there so I didn't have enough space anymore to mount the ballast. All I did was get some velcro, stick it on the ballast/igniter and some on the top of the headlight unit (acts like a shelf). Plop it on and but the thing back together. It's still accessible if you remove the windshield. Like I said, there is more than enough space on the F4.

+1 That's what I did when I installed my alarm as well. Its really secure and doesn't vibrate.
