Default HELP! starting problem!!

so about a month ago i went out and started my bike. it had been sitting on a charger. started no problem. i hooked the charger back up and let it alone till i was ready to ride. this weekend i went out, unhooked the charger, tried turning the key and got nothing. no lights or anything. proceeded to jump the bike, which worked. but as soon as i disconnect the jumper cable the bike shuts off. WHY? any suggestions? thanks in advance!

How old is battery?

BTW, how are you jumping the battery? If using an automobile, never have the automobile's engine running.

Check your terminals for corrosion.
