Default replacing rear brake pads???help

so i got a new rotor(driven sport series) and new rear brake pads(galfer 1054 semi metallic). i thought this would be a breaze. i can get the pads in right but the rotor will not fit in between the pads not because of the brake piston out but because of the bracket that holds the caliper. should i be taking the caliper off the bracket to install these pads. rotor is 4mm thick just like the oem one i believe. please respond fast i need it by friday

Service limit for oem rear brake disc is 4mm,

You should be able to replace the pads with the caliber in place. Stupid question, but are you sure it's the right pads?

I'd personally remove the caliper to install fresh pads

I had trouble changing the rear pads the first time I did it. It's a real pain in the *** (I also couldn't get the rotor between the pads). I wanted to remove both nuts the first time but didn't have the correct socket handy. I finally managed somehow but to make your life easier, remove both mounting bolts. The whole thing will come out just like the front calipers. Do you need the torque values to get the thing back together?

Wish I could remember what I did last fall. I put a new set of EBC pads on the back, and I recall thinking at first, "Huh, that's weird. I wonder why I can't get the disc back in..." Then I recall having a realization, doing some fairly simple thing, and Bob's your uncle. Quite what that simple thing was is the question, though. It seems as though I simply dropped the rear wheel and slid it back up into position...?

The Honda Service Manual shows the procedure for replacement. Section 15, Pg 286. Links to download the manual are here on the forum.
