Default Help!! engine warms up then starts bogging then dies

hey guys i have been having a very annoying problem lately. My bike starts up fine and runs great but after about 15 miles it starts to bog out and eventually dies, then i usually have to wait about 5 mins then it starts right back up and rides for a lil longer. the temp gauge is usually just past the middle. Any suggestions on what i should be looking into?
BTW i recently bought this bike i havent changed the plug or air filter yet idk when the previous owner last changed them ethier. but i did replace the oil and oil filter and ran a little bit of fuel system cleaner through it.

well two days ago i poured some sea foam in the gas tank, the oil, and some in the carbs it smoked for about half an hour, i could actually see small pieces of debri being blown out of my exhaust! but, it has been runnning alot better and hasn't stalled out once yet. i guess Sea Foam really is magic!

if it starts acting up again...my bike had the same symptoms. it's a VERY annoying problem, i know. i cleaned the carbs and found out that the fuel line between the tank and pump was sucking shut. i changed the line out and it's been fine ever since.

well looks like the problem came back it died on me earlier:/... i think something is clogging the line after i ran some of the sea foam through it because it was working great for awhile. o well ill be ordering a new hose this weekend along with some spark plugs and a k and n filter btw this bike still has the stock filter and plugs! and has 25k miles!

CLEAN YOUR CARBS!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how anyone could assess that bogging down while hot engine is related to fuel pump issues??!!

It sounds like to me that the pilot screw/passages in your carbs have clogged with some gunk. It happens. Thats why carbs are cleaned often. It happens even more often with cheap gas too, especially if you don't ride often.

Had the same problem i brought it to team motorsports and there was something with the fuel line and it was straight and they switched it to one that had a curve to it and that fixed the problem.. The tube is a fatter and thicker than the other ones on the left side if your sitting on the bike

The relays have been known in the past to flake out when warm which in turn cuts the fuel off. Also, I've had a fuel pump on mine that would cut out after running for a little while. If the pilot screws were clogged it would run like crap all the time, not just warm. Know how the equipment is engineered before you start calling out assesments.

Old Posts die hard...

I too am having this very same problem... it looks like a weak fuel hose to me.
I am replacing the fuel hose too and hope to be riding in a few days. I just got the bike from a local shop (recent purchased bike). They cleaned the carbs and installed new fuel Ts (the old ones were broken) but, they didn't replace the fuel lines. $4 for fuel line... wth? I took it back to them and pointed out a fuel hose clamp that is missing and told them to put new fuel hose on and IM NOT PAYING FOR IT! LOL
We'll see what they say when I pick it up.
