1999 with 25000 miles, just cleaned carbs, they are spotless slides all move really well with no sticking, sync'd the carbs, no vacuum leaks. Bike runs awesome when your on the throttle, but throttle response is weak and seems to sputter a little bit at steady cruise. New ngk plugs, old ones had perfect burn on em, k&n in the box, and a d&d slip on, carbs are jetted plus 1..


Any ideas?

 

I had my bike run like crap at random speeds and then I charged the battery to full and it all went away. Don't know if this is your problem just one of the ones I had when my bike was acting like that.

 

My bike is doing the same thing. Did you find anything out with your bike?? Shoot me your solution if ya did. Thanks alot!!

 

Do a charging system test. Mine did that when the regulator was going out. Also at 25k have you checked the valve clearances yet?
