Luke, Moved your thread here to the F4 section, as you're wanting to convert an F4. There are quite a few members that have done partial or full F4 to F4i conversions. There is a lot of info here in the F4 section to get you started. Take a look thru the threads here in the section on those conversions.
To ans your questions right off tho;
* F4 & F4i side fairings are same.
* Take a look at the threads here in the section on the front/headlight conversion. There is some wiring that needs to be done. Its best/easier if you can get an F4i front wiring harness. Also, you'll need a front fairing stay/bracket for the F4i to mount the front end.
* While you can use your orig gauges, they won't mount directly to the F4i fairing stay. You'd have to fab up a way to secure them to the stay. You'll find that in the conversion threads here, that almost everyone does an F4i gauge swap when they do a front end swap. It makes the conversion sooo much easier.
* As for the tail... Are you wanting to do a split-seat conversion? If so, see my tutorial...link is in my sig-line. You'll need an '01-03 subframe, battery tray, tail light, tail cowl, foot pegs, both seats, & misc hardware.
