Default Engine cut off problem @ Idle

Hi,

I purchased F4 a month ago. It is my first bike.

I noticed a problem while idling when engine is cold. Not a big deal but it bugs me.

When I start the engine, idle is kind of rough like it's not getting enough power.

It gets smoother in about a min as engine gets warmer.

But the problem is when the idle is rough on that first 10~20 sec, when I pull the throttle, engine just dies.

When its gets warmer and idle gets smoother after like 1~2min, I can rev it up without a problem. It only happens within that first 30 sec.

Is this normal?

If u have the bike not running for long periods then yes its normal to see the bike not staying on when in idle or idleing rough...in that situation i set my bike on choke and then start it..leave it on choke for bout a minute or two and then turn it off..bike runs fine on idle.

ohh ok. Thanks for the tip!
By the way, I only ride on the weekend so it is basically not running for 5~6days. Is that considered to be long periods?

A good rule of thumb is to let it warm up (full choke) until you see the temp indicator hit the C mark -- then your bike will probably we perfect by the time you get out of the driveway.
