custom exhaust???
ok guys i'm gonna put a picture of my bike in this post and tell you what i'm wanting to do with the exhaust. I'm going to admit right now that I have NO CLUE how to use photoshop and am terrible in ms paint so i'm not even going to attempt to edit the image of my bike/exhaust.
What I am wanting to do is let the exhaust come out of the lower fairing and be "cut off" below the "canister" and just level out as it reaches the bottom to the middle of the swing arm. I would not truly be cutting my exhaust I would just be getting a new pipe custom bent and cut and added on to the section and still have my stock exhaust.
what I'm wondering is would this just be ridiculously loud and or possibly damage my engine like running headers only on a car does?
thanks in advance for any tips and/or advice

It would be insanely loud, would vibrate a lot, and probably not sound too great. It's very unlikely that it would damage your engine, but it's very likely that it will decrease power.

If your exhaust pipes are not longer than the stroke of the motor, it can suck cold air back into the more and cause the valves to be bent.. and it can burn the valves, its happend to me in a geo metro. but that was just a disaster waiting to happen anyways. open rusted manifold + interstate = no more metro
