Default Cranks Fine, No Fuel, No Spark....

A little back story. I traded a slightly modified VR6 I had temporally while my E36 BMW street/race car was in dispose.... The 00 F4 was my street bike I ever rode and owned so I had a attachment right out of the gate when a trade for a 99 F4 came my way.

At any rate this bike had been modified with a F4i Odometer and a different bulb. LED or something. The bike ran well but seemed to suck alot of power at the low rpms and blow fuses. disconnected the bulb (cut wires and covered them) and got a brand new battery for the bike. Ran like a champ.

Received a VFR 800 interceptor as a gift from my younger brother for Christmas. (I was blown away) So the CBR sat. Cranked it now and then and let it run. Carbs are cleaned as that was the very first thing I did on the bike.

I ran the bike up and down the street, I washed the bike and tried starting it. It started and then died... Tried to start it no good. Took off the front plastics with a buddy of mine and check the wires. IDK what he did but the little battery looking thing for the after market bulb caught fire.. shut it off no real harm done other then that bulb.

I have tested the fuel pump and ran a direct power feed to the fuel pump then to the engine and tried to fire the bike.... Nothing... So I know that I must be getting no spark as well. I check the connection to the fuel pump with a volt meter and I am not getting enough volts for turn the fuel pump on even when I crank it its ridiculously low.

Please point me in the right direction as electrical is not specialty at all.

Thank you for your time guys!

Quick update! Been searching the web regaurding this problem and decided to trace all wire back to there source. found that the PINK wire conected to the ignition has been disconected. I know this is a very common problem. I was wondering if anyone knows what Diode I need.
